The Multimate Type III+ contacts feature a high normal force which provides a low resistance in critical applications such as dry circuit signal conditions. Mating entry is closed-ended to prevent damage from stubbing due to misalignment. Stainless steel spring provides superior normal force and retention in the housing. Tyco Electronics proprietary gold plating process ensures that specified plating thicknesses are controlled on the inside of the socket which is the critical contact mating area. Single contact rating is 13A at 30°C T-Rise.
